Love at first bite
Anyone that knows me knows my love of cookies. I have been decorating cookies for a couple of years now. I took a class in Dallas and have a great sugar cookie recipe. I’ve been blessed to sell some and even more blessed to have a unique way to give “gifts” that are cute and good to eat! I experimented with some graduation cookies for Denison High school and also the Denison Yellow Jacket. I love baking, eating, and sharing my cookies!

Gramsie’s Mother’s Day
Finally, something worth blogging about besides the weather! Tyler Lee Clayton and his parents came to see me for Mother’s Day. Wow! What a great weekend the Lord gave to me. This weekend had been bathed in prayer and God really outdid Himself! First born son, first born daughter in law and first born grandson seemed to have a grand time in Denison.
Trevor took Tyler on a tractor ride. He really enjoyed going out in the pasture. Unk (Lee) took him riding in the neighborhood. He really loved riding in his Unk’s lap but if I showed you the actual picture you wouldn’t believe me!

Our little adopted Verlander boys (Jacob and Spencer) loaned us some boy toys for Tyler. This lawnmower blew bubbles when Tyler would push it down the driveway. We heard him say BUBBLES over and over and over and….

More bubbles! It was such a thrill to sit out on the driveway Saturday morning with Trevor and Tyler and watch the two of them play. I only have one regret and that was that my parents and Lee’s Mom could not see this precious father and child playing together. I have to believe some of those bubbles floated right up to Heaven with the Clayton’s signature on them.

We had my family over Saturday afternoon. We needed Big PawPaw and Grand Betty to complete the family circle. We thought of Big PawPaw every 15 minutes around the clock! It seems Tyler has discovered Grandfather clocks and we are the proud owners of one! Lee’s Mom and Dad actually made ours. Every 15 minutes you could hear Tyler saying “tick tock tick tock” when the chimes would strike.

A proud Gramsie with Trevor Lee and Tyler Lee.

Tyler’s parents Michelle and Trevor told us Tyler was going to have a brother! We are already looking forward to meeting him. I really thank Tyler’s Mom and Dad for coming this weekend. They are Godly parents and are doing a wonderful job with my grandson. Worshipping with them today was the highlight of my weekend (and of course Tyler made the rounds, too!)
